But I still couldn't get over the fact people were doing something this far beyond the line.
I am fairly indifferent on this topic because I feel like a person's choice is their choice when it impacts them directly. And I feel like there are too many factors for any one on the outside to actually weigh in on for some else. Because when it comes to pregnancy, there are a lot of possible variables and it is just too messy for me to think about it beyond - their life, their heath - their choice.. Because anything beyond that is just seems messy and unempathetic.
But this crosses the line. This is ridiculously dark... People often have to drive long distances and go way out of their way in all kinds of ways and it is this big emotional thing and they build themselves up and drive all that way and end up at one of these places... What is wrong with people.. You can't put someone through that. Especially knowing you are just eating up the clock... And they have to explain to people close to them they didn't actually get the abortion and everyone has to get all worked up again..
This is just twisted..

They care about how they look the outside world, but they don't care about their people. I say that but honestly it's the command that thinks that the Navy as a whole is actually great to its people. And that's something I always say. My command was a piece of crap but the Navy was great to me.
We had people who would just take 5 gallon cans of paint and just throw it in the water because they didn't want to paint and they wanted to say they were out of paint. And no one would bat an eye at that.
One day I was on the Portside and they weren't supposed to be discharging waste while we were out there. And they discharged waste and shit water went into a paint tray. And it was time to clean up and end the day and I dumped that shit water into the ocean. Instead of the 5-gallon paint can. Because it would have ruined the paint. And I got all kinds of crap because people kept saying there's someone on the port side dumping paint in the water and no one cared that it was shit water or that people were siphoning shit water over the side while we were out there they just cared that it appeared like we were dumping paint when we weren't.
When we went to dry dock I was on this team that was responsible for doing preventive maintenance on the anchor and anchor chain. So what we did was we lower the anchor down onto a barge and we laid out so many shots of chain and then we disconnected it. Then we took those barges over to an area off to the side in the shipyard where no one really win and our job was to chip the paint off and repaint the anchor and anchor chain and do repairs to the chain.
We weren't supposed to get paint chips in the water because of the environmental reasons. So what they did was they took these metal poles and made the square frames and then they wrapped this thick plastic wrap around it making these plastic hot boxes. And the frames have wheels on them. So as we work we would just roll that box across. We had two of these.
These things were death traps. It cost us to inhale way more paint chips because our respirators were not the greatest. They were extremely hot, you couldn't see anything going on, and you had six people crammed into it with pneumatic tools all trying to work around each other.

I was down there for a day work trip and there is a Chick-fil-A right down the street from our office. I asked for extra pickles and they gave me this plastic container pre-packaged with Pickles ready to go. (One of those small Solo tubs with a lid) They had a whole stack of them. I thought it was the most incredible thing. (It was the lunch rush.)

Will they just rush through it to get it done, or will they draw it out a little to make it seem like they're really digging into it.

Has anyone else seen this show? It came out last October. I just saw it about a month ago, probably a little less. It has got to be one of the best thing I've seen all year. Top 3.
I love the entire theme, the atmosphere, how everything is done. The direction is incredible. And the actors are ridiculously good.
In the show the two main characters will narrate their thoughts as they are happening in the moment. There is brilliant joke where Alyssa is narrating her thoughts and she thinks something along the lines of, "If This were a movie we would probably be American." Because the show is set in Britain and she is thinking to herself, what if this is all a movie.
The show is a dark comedy. And it's just got this incredible motif for lack of a better word. Has anyone else seen it? What are your thoughts? I really like Alyssa's character. Just how she is so empathetic, and she thinks far enough into everything to weigh both sides in a way not a lot of people would do. She basically givea the benefit of the doubt and weighs both sides more than she should.

I know you didn't really ask about redundancy, but in that area it just depends how important your stuff is to you. For my personal stuff I usually have just one step past a single point of failure. And honestly, I still have quite a few single points of failure. Anything super important I push off site onto a cloud resource. But that is very few items, and most of the time that's because I want easy access to them or I am sharing them.

I use IPVanish because it has apps and just works. But also because you can log in and download a file that has every single cert for every server and set up openvpn with any of them and your creds. I think it's like $70 a year and this is year 3 for me.
They also claim to not log.
