    This seems as one-sided as the Washington Post article it criticizes. I suspect a lot of people who test positive would, given the chance, want to help contact tracers by sharing where they've been, since it's usually pretty unexciting and that's what happens when it's done manually.

    It probably shouldn't be fully automated, but you could ask people to turn regular location history on in their phones and provide an easy way to review and upload it.
