Does it not seem really irresponsible to be either operating cruises or taking a cruise at this point in time?

Today Hurtigruten has admitted that they violated their internal policies for virus containment. That's pretty silly when you're pushing to be the world's first at something for good PR and fee attention.

Norwegian police is now investigating if they broke corona-related laws, which they pretty obviously did.

Health authorities fear the ship could have infected dozens of towns and villages along Norway’s western coast.

The company Hurtigruten operates a passenger/cargo line from Bergen in the south-west to Kirkenes in the north-east, which does indeed make stops in dozens of towns and villages along the coast. They also operate what they call expedition ships, which generally depart from a large port to an exotic destination. The ship Roald Amundsen from this article is an expedition ship, which as far as I can tell from Norwegian media left from Tromsø to Svalbard and back, making no stops along the way (because really, there are no places to stop along the way; it's all open ocean between Tromsø and Svalbard). There is thus no way this ship could have spread the virus along the coast.
