Are there any sailors on here?

So if there are any sailors or prespective sailors on here some questions. What region do you sail in? Captain or crew (I guess also own or crew)? What kind of boat? What level do you sail at?

This is a lot of questions I know, but I've gotten into sailing more and more over the last few years and I've found it's one of the main things that's kept me sane throughout the pandemic.

I guess I'll start. I crew foredeck on a C&C 99 on a lake in the Southeast US. I have only been sailing for a couple years and only for maybe a year semi seriously. I have only done local regattas...

I have only done local regattas on the lake, nothing that I've had to travel for or anything that big though. I would love to work towards crewing on larger/more experienced boats in larger regattas/higher wind conditions.

The closest I've come to being a sailor is going on a booze-cruise in Cancun. That said, I have come across Fair Transport and think it might be of some interest to you.

I once had a boss who had part ownership of a sailboat, and he took us out a few times in San Francisco Bay. It was a lot of fun but I haven’t had any similar opportunities since then.

Just dinghy sailing, sunfish, hobie catamaran etc. I have a sailboard but haven't used it in several years. I've been intending to find property closer to water so I can get back into the hobby....

Feeling the wind pick up with a sail in my hand is honestly one of my favorite feelings in the world.

The biggest thing I sail is a pico on lakes near me but I'd love to live on a sail boat in the future.

Not really. I used to practice rowing with a team in a nearby lake. It was great. I’m also very fond of kayaking and everything boat related, really. I live near the ocean and plan to buy a kayak...

I live near the ocean and plan to buy a kayak in the future. Going straight forward I can go back and forth to a nearby island in less than 4 hours. It should be awesome.
