What little Chinese History I know was mostly gleaned from brief wikipedia dives after playing the video game Europa Universalis 4, and having played a bunch of nations in the Asia eastern regions, E.g. conquering the world as Ming, and by forming Qing as a Steppe Horde. ;)
And what little else I know of Chinese history outside of 1444 - 1821 (the timespan of the game) was learned from James Clavell's Asian Saga series... so my understanding is likely pretty distorted and shallow. :P
Update, Part 2 is out now: History of Hong Kong - From British Colony to Special Administrative Region of China p.s. @Algernon_Asimov, since you enjoyed the last one.
Thanks, @cfabbro. This is a timely and interesting video.
I need to learn more about Chinese history. There's so much there that I just don't know.
