I may be in the minority but, personally, I am all for non-binary birth certificates. Why pigeonhole someone into a gender role at birth by attaching a pronoun to the certificate. A pronoun that will come to define them (and have them be judged against) when they could easily come to realize it doesn't apply to them later but now they're stuck going through a lengthy legal process to have changed. I have many trans friends, mtf and ftm, both online and in RL, and I empathize and sympathize with them and their struggles a great deal. Anything we can do to help minimize the impact of these artificial constructs and labels like gender pronouns and destroy the traditional gender roles in society is a good thing IMO.

p.s. I recognize there are fundamental differences in the biology of the sexes. However, the labels we use and force on people and the social constructs around those labels like the predefined/traditional gender roles in society are something we can do without IMO.

It's a small thing that means a lot to those who need it, and at most is a minor inconvenience to people who do identify in the binary.

      Kudos to Ontario!
