I went to a very conservative school in a very conservative part of my country (our official queer organization was ~10 people). While I was there, our college administration conducted a fairly involved survey regarding attitudes towards gay and lesbian people on campus. They promised our queer organization that they would share the results with us and enlist our help in creating solutions should the findings turn up problem areas.

Well, surprise surprise: after they completed the survey, their tune changed and they flat out refused to release any information related to it. We fought for access to it but our organization was small and, clearly, hated, so we got nowhere. We knew how bad the results would be (the study’s findings were our everyday life); we simply wanted all that shit on the record. Expectedly, however, they just buried it so that they could reduce liability and maintain plausible deniability.

This feels a lot like that.
