Weekly thread for casual chat and photos of pets

It's been an emotional rollercoaster with my pup this week but it's all come right in the end. We'd planned months ago for a sitter to look after him so that my partner and I could go to a wedding, but a short notice change from their side pushed me over the edge and I ended up having a bit of a meltdown because I just felt so frustrated and beaten down by the flakey, unreliable nature of sitters/ trainers that we've dealt with. I got a lot of really kind and helpful responses and after getting some sleep I felt much better equipped to cope with it all, which is just as well because the sitter cancelled on us completely the night before we needed them!

My partner attended the wedding alone and I had a good day with my boy at home instead. He was my little garden helper in the morning and had great fun sitting on my garlic and digging up my tulip bulbs. We had a long walk in the afternoon and to cap it off ran into a gorgeous fox red golden retriever, who he loved playing with. I'm still bummed to have missed out on our friends getting married but it really feels like the cosmos heard me struggling and took pity on me a bit! Feeling very grateful for it all.
