Anyone have any experience taking an international flight with a pet or pets? I have been considering moving next year and have a large-ish dog (~60 lbs) as well as a cat that I would need to take with me.
After many years of mostly getting our snuggles via dog sitting, we added our own four-legged friend to our family, today!

She was found abandoned with another dog in Alabama and rescued and brought up to Wisconsin in December and has been staying with a foster family for the last six weeks. She's super sweet and friendly, does well with our 6 year old, and made fast friends with the neighbor dog.
We've wanted a dog for a long time, but wanted to wait until our son was old enough to be more independent (and even be helpful) so we'd be able to give it the attention it deserves.
She's about a year and a half old, smart as a whip, and settling in with us really quickly! We're going to have to work on her walking, but given how quickly she's picking things up so far, it shouldn't be too bad.
Adorable! If you want to find out about what dog breed(s) she is, I recommend Embark for a DNA test. They are the most expensive, but also the most reliable, and they often run sales. Pit mixes can be highly variable, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something else inside (esp. hounds, since she came from Alabama).
Plus 1 for embark. They also do genetic testing for potential health concerns which should be discovered early on which was my main reason and not the breed ID part.
