A very young stray cat showed up at our frontdoor the other day and she's adorable. We've been trying to catch her to take to the humane society, but she's not the trusting type. We've been taking it slow, leaving her food and pspspsping our hearts out and she seems to be getting a little more comfortable with us.
I have some ethical qualms about keeping outdoor cats (in a residential neighborhood at least), but I also wouldn't strongly object to keeping her in that capacity if we can't catch her. She's really been brightening up our days and my daughter already named her Coco :/ But yeah we couldn't keep her in doors. We already have a dog and two cats, which is more than enough animals in this small house. So hopefully we can cage her and get her to the human society soon. She's cute and well-mannered enough that I think she'd get adopted quick.
We are also keeping an eye out for "missing cat" posts on facebook, just in case!
She's super cute my goodness moar pictures please!! Tiny white tiger!!!
Some cat rescue societies will come out to catch and they have more gear and experience, try to reach out to your local no kill? Then they'll not only get vet care but also potentially placed with fosters and adoption, or re-released if completely feral.
Took a bit to get more pics. Lots of progress today. She let me pet her and eventually I was able to pick her up! Hoping we can get her crated tomorrow to take to humane society. Although it’s gonna pain me to do so :(

What a pretty pretty baby darling oh my goodness >..<
Awwww I hope they re-home her properly and she gets to enjoy many many years of pspsps and gentle pets and warm sun spot naps
We took her to the shelter this morning :(
They told us that depending on her temperament, she may get her vaccinations, get fixed, then re-released within a mile of where she was found (our house). She's very sweet and cuddly, so I doubt she'd get re-released. But if she does, and she makes her way back to us, we'll probably just keep her as an outdoor cat. Basically just leaving it up to the universe to decide whether we keep her.
Ahh yes the universal cat distribution system.
You guys did a super good thing, now this pretty baby will be in much better health, she wont have to raise a bunch of babies without a steady source of safety or food, and she might even find a forever home!
But it's still sad to say goodbye :')
Here are my little ones from the last week or so. We left for a few days to go see the opera and my wife's sister in another town. Our lab went to our friend's for a 3 day bender, but she clearly had too much fun and has been snoozing hard since we returned.
