This is Lana, being a majestic beach dog.
She's a lab mix my wife and I adopted back in 2015, from a rescue group. Her mom was a black lab, like, 100% black fur black lab, about 70 pounds. We figured Lana was going to grow to be bigger than she turned out to be, but she grew to about 45 pounds, and almost but not quite the size of your "regular, full sized lab".
She is among the goodest of girls, but not very photogenic. This is one of the better photos I have of her. Despite being 10 years old, she still has boundless energy, and hasn't shown any signs of aging/deficit yet. I'm hoping she's nowhere near the end of her life, because we love her very much.
That’s a a cute grey snout! When did she start to get grey hair?
The picture does appear grey around her snout, but I think that's from the sand. She's hasn't started to grey, yet, thankfully!
She’s beautiful! 45 pounds is a good size in my opinion. My older dog is turning 8 and is also not showing her age. Hope she stays energetic and youthful a while longer!
Thanks! My last dog before her was a black lab, who grew to about 55 pounds and was a bit bigger than Lana. So I was expecting a bit of a bigger dog, but I'm certainly not complaining, Lana is a great size and a great dog.
