Weekly thread for casual chat and photos of pets

Well, we’ve arrived in Germany after adopting a stray cat in Thailand. And she’s amazing, adventurous. We’ve gone to the hardware store today, where she’s been basically running around exploring for an hour :D

And before that, earlier today she got up from her nap, came next to me and laid in my arm.

Crumb, one of our four rats, has not been doing well lately. It started out as dropping cheerios, something really out of character for her (she is the most food-motivated of the bunch) and losing a lot of weight. She also stopped grooming herself. Something was going on with her mouth, but she wouldn't sit still for us to check her.

Took her to the vet, and it turns out one of her teeth was askew. She may also have bruised or fractured her jaw. The vet trimmed back her teeth, so her mouth is no longer bleeding.

She seems to be bouncing back - she is eating well and seems more herself. We've been giving her wetted kibble and lots of treats to help her get back to her normal weight (over a pound!).
