Yeah, one of my least favorite aspects of Hacker News is their rigid adherence to the "original title" rule, since context is often lost because of that, and clickbait is often left untouched. I much prefer how things are shaping up on Tildes where OPs and users with the "edit title" privilege can change the titles, they just have to try to make any changes as objective and informative as they can.
