I can't recommend Century of Self enough. It does a great job explaining a lot of the phenomenon we are seeing today in politics and consumer culture, even 20 years after it's release. It's a very fact based account of the past 100+ years in skewing public opinion. It's almost a shame it's so factual because it can come off a little dry and would never reach as big of an audience as something more inflammatory like the Social Dilemma. If you've ever wondered why people are so inclined to vote against their self interests or buy things they will never need, you need to watch it (all four parts are free on youtube!!!).

My favourite documentary of all time! It's soo good
