I've been actively working to intrude upon my biases and expectations in regards to how I perceive people of color, and often when I think I have become "colorblind," I am shocked to discover I am not. The photos attached to this article, as well as the history of Black cowboys, startled me, and reminded me that I am not colorblind, but instead am still blind to people of color.
