Tildes Video Thread
So, quite a few people don't like/watch video content, and don't like seeing the homepage filled with videos. Let's try something new, see if it sticks.
What are the best videos you have watched this past week/fortnight?
Value A walkthrough of various theories of (economic) value in history.
I Watched Breaking Bad After Better Call Saul One of the few people who actually did what's in the title and can also do in depth character analysis afterward. You'd think any "tv buff" would've watched Breaking Bad by now and yet here they are.
Star Wars by Wes Anderson Trailer
A Guide to Anarchy | Errico Malatesta Is there anyone knowledgeable about anarchy here who can assess the accuracy of this video?
I can't believe I only now learned of the wonderful British historian Philomena Cunk. It is great to see her astounding scholarly work recognized in a new Netflix series, Cunk on Earth.
Crusader Kings the Movie - Door Monster
Building a haptic input knob from scratch!
This haptic input knob with a circular screen is incredibly polished and well-made for a DIY project. If you're into digital and tactile interfaces, you might find this highly interesting.
Oh, nice. I didn't realize he made a follow-up video. The previous video was posted to Tildes last year:

Wendover Productions latest video is an interesting one:
How the World’s Most Dangerous Country Solved Murder
The video is about El Salvador, and what has now essentially become the seemingly benevolent dictatorship of Nayib Bukele, its newly elected President who has since consolidated power in some questionable ways, as well as his government's efforts to stamp out gang violence in the country.
I don't know how accurate the video is, or what (if anything) it's leaving out, since I am not Salvadoran nor am I even very familiar with the country, its history, or its politics. However, regardless, IMO it's still worth sharing since provides a rather unique perspective on the country's undeniably successful effort at stamping out gang violence, but which has also caused widespread condemnation from many other Western countries, NGOs, and the UN due to its heavy handedness.
