Trump caught moving funds contrary to court order Bottom line, my conclusion is that this man is incapable of following rules under any circumstances

People like to compare Trump to a mobster. As a fan of true crime, I beg to differ. Almost every mobster I know of had good lawyers, listened to whatever the FBI or the prosecutors had to offer, and behaved, in every proceeding, in the way most conducive to a favorable outcome for them. I'm not saying they're saints, but, historically, and in general, most mobsters showed way more respect for the justice system than people like Alex Jones and Donald Trump.

I agree. Also mobsters succeed in large part because they demonstrate loyalty and take care of their minions or at least the families of their followers. Many successful mobsters support local charities. They cause great harm, but they use coherent strategies to succeed.

Trump has the self control and emotional regulation of a two year old.

I would say that mobsters viewed the justice system as the enemy, while Trump/Jones view the justice system as irrelevant. That is an important distinction in my opinion.

I also see a distinction between Trump and Jones. Trump has a long history of failing to pay contractors he hired and making them sue him to get any cash out of him. It's not just disrespecting the courts or the laws. It's wanting and choosing whatever he wants this particular minute, regardless of consequences or relationships. He is a master at burning bridges and alienating former allies.

It’s the difference between lies and bullshit, as a famous essay put it.

Here is an interesting article about that threat. Trump rhetoric - who is listening now? TLDR Trump in 2016 was an experiment and the worst statements had deniable implications. That is no longer...

TLDR Trump in 2016 was an experiment and the worst statements had deniable implications. That is no longer true.
Personally, in 2016 I had no idea the man was a traitor.

FYI for anyone reading the og post link and not familiar with the judicial branch in New York, “Supreme” courts in New York are the trial courts of general jurisdiction in civil cases not the highest level court like it is in the federal judiciary or most - all? - other states.
