      To be fair, I think a lot of people were ready to believe the headline as referring to many more in Silicon Valley, based on experience.

        Right, which is why the headline is just bad clickbait. Does Elon even count as a "San Francisco Bay Area" anymore? He's pretty much disavowed all connections. None of his companies are even HQ'd...

    I’d be curious to know what the sentiment is amongst tech execs that aren’t in the usual list of wacko, high profile, tech libertarians. It’s jarring how much that group can differ ideologically.
