Not really in the mood to watch the whole of this right now. It seems to be decently good, if a little patronizing. I do think the branding of the far-right with the 4chan logo is a little clumsy....

That site is not homogeneous - it also has actual marxists and feminists and libertarians and everything in between on it. It does have a right-wing bias - but only in the same way that Twitter has a left-wing one.
Any minuscule "redeeming" qualities simply exist to attract people into the pipeline of radicalization they have set up. You don't "take" the point? What does that mean?

I really, really, REALLY don't want this conversation to become the thread, so I'm going leave it at them both being hell sites built for hell people. EDIT: 😒 🙄🤦

The use of the symbol is related mostly to a previous video they made, but I would suggest watching the entire video first because I think that 4chan is an excellent example of what he is talking...

I was part of his Patreon, so I got the drip feed version of this. Really good stuff on how people fall into alt right circles and how they are kept inside.

Against my better judgement, I'm bumping this topic because Ian posted a live talk that ties into this video, along with a Q&A video. Please play nice.

also, there's a few things wrong in the video, but it's more important that this content is out rather than nitpicking what they don't know and don't realize
Part of his fantastic The Alt-Right Playbook series.

the left-wing bias on twitter is no where as far left as the right-wing bias is on 4chan. i feel like that's a little bit of a false equivalency.
You're right. Perhaps Mastodon/Fediverse would've been a better comparison.
