1000 users (ish)
So if we go by the number of users subscribed to the ~tildes group it looks like we're at about 1000 now.
Seems like a fun little milestone to call out.

It certainly is... and we're super stoked about it! Many many social sites never leave the "creator + 4 of his friends using it" phase so we can't tell you how much of a relief it is to see so many people actually using ~ the way it was intended to be used. :P
@deimos also mentioned it briefly in the Daily Discussion today (in case you missed it).
You guys are doing the right thing by keeping it invite only. I strongly believe the community needs to stay small and dedicated while Tildes identity is developed, in such a way that you guys and @deimos can manage to pay attention to everyone's opinions.
I was one of the first users of Voat when it was still called Whoaverse. The guy that started it had good intentions and wanted to grow a genuine community. He also strongly branded it as an alternative to Reddit that supported free speech. As a result, all of the unscrupulous Redditors that got kicked off the site (fatpeoplehate for example) moved to Voat and it became a place that was dominated by that content.
The approach you guys are taking is much better.
I suppose that makes us The Mayflower crew. No let’s not call ourselves that.
Quite a milestone. I wonder how big we’ll grow. We’ll, it’s a lovely word in this context. I’ve missed being a we on a website. Hope we can do some amazing things together in the future.
Hope it grows, but fr the main thing I think would help this website keep some newbies is some flair! some colour! some pizzaz!
A profile pic next to your name don't really fit the look but it'd be great.
That's pretty awesome. I haven't heard of this place until I ran across it in a Reddit discussion. I never thought I'd be in a place like this today. Reddit has been a daily ritual (addiction almost) for many years but now it's starting to show a lot of flaws I don't like.
So far I'm loving it here and I can't wait to see this community grow.
Do you all have plans on the trajectory of growth you're wanting? If you're at a 1000 now, do you have ideas for when you are wanting to hit around 10k?
