Bloodborne 2, with a PS4 Pro mode for Bloodborne 1 ‘available right now’. That would make my E3.

Amazingly it was a much more hideous yellow than that pic. I loved it because it was my first slice of freedom, since then I had a 98 Golf GTI that I loved and a Focus Titanium. Now I ditched the motor and live in a small city getting around walking and biking. Me and the Mrs decided to try and be as green as we can, within reason. It’s weird. I miss driving less than I thought I would.

Pride and Prejudice, War and Peace and Battlestar Galactica. They’re my go to if I can’t find anything else to watch. Sharpe as well, love me a period drama.

Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2 1982, Vomit Yellow she was, went almost everywhere in Britain and a couple of places in France with a girl called Laura in 1996. What a ride, the car I mean. That thing would not give up, the car. Had to change a thousand parts to keep her running yearly. Got sideswiped by a BMW, heartbroken. Had her for four glorious years, car. Had to let her go, both of them.

To this day if I hear Oasis, It brings me right back to that old banger... and the Vauxhall I took her round in.

You know up until a few years ago I’d have said Chrono Trigger, Resident Evil 2 or FFVII were the games I most loved but then Bloodborne and Breath of the Wild came along and I’ve honestly felt my love of gaming flooding back.

For all the love the last gen had in terms of amount of games, none of those games really clicked with me, I really feel like some devs this gen are nailing it. God of War is pretty amazing as well.

I’m going to say it and this is a big step for a jaded old crank like me, Bloodborne, Bloodborne is my favourite game so far in my life. I’ve had a pretty good gen so far. I waited twenty years and two came along at once. Crikey are Sony and Nintendo nailing it atm.

Edit: (forgot to put my reasoning). I’ve never played in a world so barren and yet so fleshed out. Bloodborne leads you without knowing you’re being lead. You feel powerless because you are, right up to the point where you realise that everything you needed to succeed was there the whole time and suddenly you become the hunter and you even start to feel strong and powerful. Then the game reminds you, you aren’t and that cycle continues over and over in a really pleasing way. You learn to embrace death as a learning device. No game has done more to forge me into something than Bloodborne. I’ve never felt as much a part of a world in a game like this since FFVII. Maybe a sequel will happen and I’ll love it or maybe this will be the only one I love in that series. Either way it was a blast, made me feel like I was 16 again and gaming was new.

Quite a milestone. I wonder how big we’ll grow. We’ll, it’s a lovely word in this context. I’ve missed being a we on a website. Hope we can do some amazing things together in the future.

I like pictures of fluffy things. I work hard and I like being cheered up after a hard shift. Sometimes I just don’t want to engage my brain much but for me when discussing quality there is a huge difference from a person lovingly posting a good picture of their cute animal and a low effort repost with a copied title and that’s almost 90% of the things I’m seeing on Reddit at the moment.

I don’t know how you filter them out. All I know is if stopping the cat pics stops the facebook style low effort posters coming here and trashing up the place then it might be a good price to pay. Remember the genuine connections you could make on Reddit near the start. I wish I could’ve prolonged that atmosphere, maybe this will help that here.
