I've enjoyed their skits, I hope they can make the transition to the big-screen format. SNL movies often feel like just a reeeeeeealy long sketch, which does not make a good movie. The joke is unfunny after 10 minutes, and after 90 minutes the joke is dead, the horse it rode in on is dead, has been beaten, raised as a zombie horse, beaten again, left to rot, and then abandoned.

I've seen good movies made by people who came from SNL, but are there many good movies that were actually based on SNL sketches? Blues Brothers comes to mind. Are there others?

Looks like Wayne's World and Blues Brothers were the only two to do decently.

Night at the Roxbury wasn’t well received at the time but it’s become a cult movie since, I really liked it.
