I find this a bit hilarious in that if there was ever a reason I would subscribe to Paramount+ it would be as a one-stop-shop for everything Star Trek related (alas the newer offerings largely fail to impress, and DVD box sets of the classics are a one time expenditure). If they're scattering that offering out, I just don't see the value at all.
Sidetrack: there is cause for hope. Strange new worlds is almost there. And prodigy was good, although I sometimes thought i was watching star wars stuff.

Yea, I don't understand how Paramount would let those films go away.. was it some sort of contract that was in place before Paramount+ was a thing? It makes no sense to me

I'll tell you this: my Plex has a bunch of Trek movies now. I wanted to rewatch them, and this news inspired me to take the plunge.
