BlindCarpenter It will be indoors so I'm not overly worried about it being exposed to the elements so much. I'll check out those displays, thanks! It will be indoors so I'm not overly worried about it being exposed to the elements so much. I'll check out those displays, thanks!

BlindCarpenter Yea unfortunately the app version isn't highly regarded. And I also want to get a bigger screen than a typical tablet. But it doesn't seem like there are many options for a desktop touchscreen.Yea unfortunately the app version isn't highly regarded. And I also want to get a bigger screen than a typical tablet. Hi, I'm looking for a touchscreen desktop computer solution that is in the affordable range and capable of running Windows or Linux. Whether that is a touchscreen monitor and a standalone computer, or an all in one solution, do you guys have any recommendations? It will be used to run a marine charting program on a boat.

BlindCarpenter I'd prefer some form of physical media kept at home. Maybe another backup at a friends house to protect against fire.I'd prefer some form of physical media kept at home. Maybe another backup at a friends house to protect against fire.

I have CDs from the 80s that still function just fine.
Do you think there is any disadvantage of rewritable vs non-rewritable? Are rewritable any more vulnerable?

What is the most reliable and affordable form of storage medium to use as a backup drive for your computer?
I just had my backup hard drive die and while it did last a few good years, I just want to know what everyone else is using and what gets the best bang for buck.

Most of my photo-taking is done with my Smartphone but it really lacks a proper zoom feature. I'd like to purchase a cheap compact camera with a zoom lens. Is there anything out there you would...

Bonus if it has a USB-C interface. I hate carrying multiple cords around.

I use syncthing to sync photos and everything else directly with my Linux computer.
For music, I went back to a full mp3 library and I love it. I've got a large CD collection that I ripped and I purchase songs from 7digital. All my music is synced between my phone and computer using syncthing as well.

BlindCarpenter They actually announced they are no longer charging for the serviceThey actually announced they are no longer charging for the service
I discovered this band and am really enjoying them. They sound like a mix between the instrumentals of Red Hot Chili Peppers and vocals of Rage Against the Machine at times but also have a very original sound at the same time.
Let me know your thoughts.
