Not that there's a lot you should expect to see a trailer for a drama film like this and if you're watching this trailer/looking at A24's films you're probably already aware that this movie exists, but this really stretches the definition of "trailer".
1:04 long, over half of it is credits, the other half is two sentences of dialog and Brendan Fraser staring in one direction or another. It'd probably be less annoying if the 30 or so seconds of footage were contiguous, but instead are slow-fade-jump-cuts that are so distracting I hope that this trailer was the work of a first day intern in a surely-they-can't-screw-this-up assignment.
I thought the exact same thing. I know more about the Silent Hill 2 movie than I know about The Whale, which is pretty sad since that movie is not even done with preproduction.
