I mean, the first movie was okay and markedly overestimated. Its box office success felt like a happy accident. Haven't seen the second one, but $100 million in marketing seems like a lot for this...

This one sucked though, it was probably one of the worst DCEU movies.

There's only about a dozen movies in the DCEU, thirteen if you count the Snyder Cut. The only ones I've actually liked have been Shazam, Wonder Woman, and The Suicide Squad.

I didn't put a lot of thought into this, but my top-11 might be something like this: Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) The Suicide Squad (2021) Man of Steel (2013) Wonder Woman (2017) Aquaman...

If I had to rank them it’d be: The Suicide Squad Shazam Wonder Woman Birds of Prey Snyder Cut Man of Steel Aquaman Batman v Superman Wonder Woman 1984 Shazam 2 Black Adam Justice League Suicide Squad
Suicide Squad, The Suicide Squad, and Birds of Prey are all that I choose to even acknowledge. They were the outrageous, comic book-y, movies that most comic book based movies should be. Wonder...

Wonder Woman was good up until the last half hour, then shit the bed. The rest I choose not to acknowledge even exist.
I'm surprised you're choosing to ignore the first Shazam, since it's also very fun, over the top, and comic-book-y. IMO it's the best of the bunch, but The Suicide Squad is a close second for me....

James Gunn really knows how to write and direct comic books movies. Him and Taika Waititi seem to truly grok comic books, unlike some other writer-directors (*cough* Zack Snyder *cough*)

Fair point, but didn't really connect for me, but that is admittedly likely due to my own bias. I have a pretty low tolerance for teenage actors/acting (twenty-somethings that have to act like teenagers are marginally better), so it's gotta be really good to get me to actually call something that is teen focused/starred enjoyable. Another example is pretty much every Spiderman movie I found iffy at best up to Into the Spider-verse which was quite good.

Okay than, not a dozen. A bunch. I'm a big fan of the Snyder Cut for example. Watchmen too. Does 300 count?
Nah. The DCEU refers to this specific continuity that started with Man of Steel. Otherwise my favorite DC movie is The Dark Knight.

Lots of crappy movies on that list.
