What did you think of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny?

I thought it was great! Tho Sallah got screwed on an adventure and Teddy wasn’t really needed. Definitely redeemed from Crystal skull.

Click to view spoilers Marion was a nice and touching callback.

I did think Indiana would stay in ancient Greece, but I'm happy he didn't.

Overall I think it was a pretty good send off for the character

I’m a big fan of the Indiana Jones films and I’m also a big fan of James Mangold. But this was really boring.

I actually thought Crystal Skull was better. I think Spielberg paces the film better (Dial of Destiny dragged on in so many places) and the action sequences were also better (it is Spielberg after all).

I liked the first maybe 30-40 minutes of the movie (right up until he goes to the airport) but afterwards I was checked out.

Indy is wanted for murder, maybe? Don't worry about it.

The CIA character is willing to help the Nazis who are overly trigger happy. I guess it was a space race favor? Nevermind she is dead.

Also Indy is getting a divorce, not really sure why. Then one really well acted but sort of out of nowhere scene where Indy talks about Mutt. Then at the end they're not getting divorced. I can make it make sense but just feels super rushed.

Indy says to his goddaughter "You don't remember that last night I saw you". Events unfold. Oh you do remember. But then also let's go back and watch that scene, but it won't really tell us anything new.

Show Teddy learning to fly a plane, great. Then make Teddy fly a plane, great. But also the real pilot is sleeping and can fly the plane. Lucky that worked out.

The Nazis followed us to the fishing boat. We got away and tricked them. I hope they don't follow us and instantly know where we are going. Oh they did? Darn.

Trigger happy Nazis kill dozens of people, dead in one shot. Shoot Indy. Not dead. Well let's drag him along and also the being shot mostly won't matter.

I'm sure there are more. I did have fun watching this, but there is a lot that was rushed, poorly paced or just didn't make sense.

Not good. Boring. Not compelling. Weak story.

Haven't seen it yet, but it looked pretty solid based off the trailer
