    So this is them capitalizing on the brand they spent years building. There's real momentum the movies catch when you just stick "A24" in front of the trailer. Makes sense and is just the sad...

    Makes sense and is just the sad reality. I wonder if they can somewhat keep the quality up but I'm guessing it was always more about letting the film makers do their thing rather than them (A24) having real producer-y skills that steer the movie in the right direction.

      It's pretty crazy to me that A24 built this huge brand back when they were mostly just a distributor — a lot of the initial fans probably didn't really have a great handle on what the company did....

      I agree that it might be tough to keep the goodwill going for their current audience with a more mass-market shift. It kind of already seems like Neon is taking their place as the "cool kid movie company"
