Ah the true Dark Universe.
All joking aside, given that their movie sweeped the razzies, I love that they are just going forward with what they like. People making what they like really should be the keystone of filmmaking. Less-then serious horror is the ideal place for this kind of creativity to shine, too.
That key art is fantastic.
One could also view this as a cynical cash-grab, intentionally doing a cinematic version of asset-flipping with established, beloved children's characters to make a quick buck.
And it evidently works!
I do suppose that in order to win the Razzies, you have to have had enough people actually watch it. And without people like this, we would all be at Adam Sandler's mercy. :P
Oh boy, this is making me regret my long term username choices
