    Personally I think the first sequel was one movie too many for the Shrek franchise. Once again Hollywood is squeezing existing IP for all it's worth rather than taking a risk on something new....

    Personally I think the first sequel was one movie too many for the Shrek franchise. Once again Hollywood is squeezing existing IP for all it's worth rather than taking a risk on something new. Neither Mike Myers nor Eddie Murphy have been funny for a long time, in my opinion.

    On the other hand, the latest Puss In Boots movie was way, way better than it should’ve been. So who knows?

      Shrek 2 was superior to the original. Shrek 3 was meh but Shrek 4 was actually pretty solid, so between that and the Puss in Boots success, I'm cautiously optimistic.
