Jacob Elordi and Amy Madigan surprised everyone by winning Supporting Actor and Actress here. Both from “horror” films. I like Elordi a lot and enjoy seeing him transform his career from the guy from Euphoria and The Kissing Booth into a prestigious one. Not something a lot of people can do (eg Noah Centineo).
Chalamet won here, as I expected, we’ll see if the Globes go for him next week. Buckley won and will probably sweep.
OBAA slightly underperformed since people thought it would win both Supporting categories. The only issue I see with the actual award shows is Taylor is a reality tv star which might get punished for voters. I was thinking if PTA cast someone like Keke Palmer that narrative wouldn’t harden.
