I think Sony didn’t really wanna release it, despite Waititi being an Oscar winner and adaptations of Ishiguro’s work being successful with awards (he even has his own Oscar nomination for writing the screenplay for Living). Test screenings haven’t gone super well for it.
I do think it’s funny you can tell that this was shot a while ago because Ortega still had her cheeks.
