I like Adam McKay's vision of the ruling class much better than say The West Wing or House of Cards. It embraces what a farce it all is. The dark humor of our current state of affairs, how we are largely ruled by sadists, idiots or people who are both is more realistic and entertaining than the fan fiction we often get. This appears to continue his great turn in The Big Short and shows his growth as a director.
