You're definitely not alone. I thought the 2016 reboot was decent enough too. Though I watched it with my developmentally disabled cousin and she was super into it (e.g. hiding her eyes during the "scary" parts, yelling "Watch out!" at the characters, etc), which made my viewing experience that much more fun/enjoyable.
It looks like this new one might be equally as enjoyable for her as it will be for me though, so that's a step up from the previous one, IMO.

I think I would rather have a recut of Ghostbusters 2016. This just seems too much like, "Ghostbusters: The Movie!" for me to really get into it.
