My band's latest single, Glad I Woke Up. It was inspired by a really bad break-up our singer went through before the pandemic, and it signals the start of a bit of a change in direction towards a more electronically influenced sound, while trying to retain our signature "dark cabaret" vibes. It's not as heavy as some of our previous works, but it's been really well received by local press, so I'd love to hear some feedback from the lovely folks on Tildes <3

Imagine Kate Bush running away to join the circus with System of a Down. Now add some shades of American Horror Story, with an unsettling undercurrent à la The Brothers Grimm. You are now some way towards describing Sir Curse, a 6-piece alternative rock band from Leeds.
The band bring you crazed live shows that combine campfire horror storytelling, freak-show theatricality, and full-throttle music

p.s. For those who haven't heard it yet, I highly recommend checking out Sir Curse - Coraline, too. I have had it in my daily listening playlist since bil posted it here last year.

Thanks cfab! We were quite pleased when we came up with that bio, it seems to go down well among promoters and press alike :D

Starts strong, I'm bobbing my head along at the 11 second mark when the instruments come in, 30 seconds or so is giving me vibes of rock clubs from a decade or so ago in my hometown. Overall, I'm digging it and find Coraline great too. Giving everything on Bandcamp a once through and I think Rabbit Holes might be my favorite followed by Glad I Woke Up and then Coraline.

What it comes down to, is you've got a new fan. Keep up the great work!

FYI: There's a link to sircurse.com on your Bandcamp page that goes nowhere.

Thank you! I'm glad to hear you're a fan of Rabbit Holes, it's one of my faves as well, but that one ends up being a bit divisive. Played live it involves yours truly adopting the crab pose and shrieking at the top of my lungs for about 30 seconds straight. As you can imagine, the audience don't really know what to do with themselves when this comes out of nowhere!

Thank you for the heads up! Turns out there was some wonkiness on the DNS side preventing the forward from working. Should be fixed soon.

The shrieking come in around the 1:45 mark? I can see the uninitiated being caught off guard, but after the first live show they should be digging it. As for what the audience should do, obviously...
