I was wondering why I feel like I've been seeing more Green Day coverage recently on my Reels, I know they've been triggering conservatives with their "don't wanna be part of the MAGA agenda" line change.
Good to see more old punk coming back, it's interesting to see this era making a return, especially in a (personally) different context. Punk filled a teenage angst era in my life, and now that I'm older it's nice to be able to relate to it in a different (more true to it's form, imo) way.
They did just release their new album yesterday (which this song is from). The album as a whole is pretty good IMO, though my favorite songs aren’t even the ones they released as “preview”...

This video wouldn't feel out of place in 1990s MTV. Even more so because it is kinda grunge and not purely punk (I guess that's a description of a lot of Green Day's songs).

Even though it is clearly a recent video, it has a nostalgic quality that might confuse some viewers.
I'm still writing 2012 on paperwork, so 2023 is a major step forward for me
