Was just wearing my Necrophobic shirt the other day! Super solid stuff, as always. Necrophobic is one of the reliably good "big/popular" black metal bands that just consistently releases quality music no matter their size or big label money, or whatever. The new record IMO doesn't hold a candle to nearly perfect prior releases like Mark of the Necrogram, but that's a tough record to follow-up, period, so I don't blame 'em.
Honestly, I can't say they've ever released anything bad. That's how consistent they are. Even their most forgettable releases are pretty good.
Thanks for that..! The linked song wasn't bad but also didn't feel like anything special - listening to Mark of the Necrogram now and that album slaps!

If you have a hankering for more riffy melodic blackened goodness then In Aphelion, the side project from guitarists Sebastian and Johan, is well worth a blast. They dropped the sophomore album...

It absolutely does! Thanks.
I like the production here. Clear and crisp were all the instruments gets through.

Oh, there is a new álbum? Songs from Moribund are played almost daily here since it's release.
Yup, Reaperdawn. Didn't strike me as immediately as Moribund but still a high quality release.
