I saw Bush live in ~2018 at a county fair for $10, the cost of admission to the fair. They gave it everything they had and it was an awesome show. Gavin makes it look effortless.

I'm pretty sure the only time I've ever seen them live was waaaaaaaay back in the mid 90s at a festival up here in Ontario, Canada. After googling around a bit, I think it might have been Edenfest based on the lineup, since it's around the right time-frame, and had Bush and a few other bands I remember seeing too (Everclear, Live, Spin Doctors, Spacehog). But my memories of the festival are pretty vague at this point so I'm not actually sure if that was the festival in question or it was an Edgefest or some other. I do remember Bush being good, but the performance I remember most was Live who were (perhaps unsurprisingly) absolutely incredible live. :P

p.s. @aphoenix, were you at Edenfest too, by chance?

I absolutely love Live too. Throwing Copper, Secret Samadhi, and The Distance to Here are all insanely good albums. They're some of the very few albums that I can still regularly play straight through from start to finish without ever feeling the need to skip any songs. Sadly, by some accounts Ed Kowalczyk was/is a bit of a dickhead but regardless, IMO, there is no denying the man is also a musical genius. :P

I think I saw Bush at Edgefest at the Molson Amphitheatre around 98 or 99. They put on a great show. And Live for maybe the Secret Samadhi tour, appropriately at The Phoenix, and they were incredible.

Oh man, The Phoenix! I haven't been there in forever! Googling it, it looks like they're still running (unlike pretty every other smaller club/bar concert venue I can remember regularly going to in my youth, like Industry, RPM/Warehouse/Guvernment)... but unfortunately things supposedly aren't looking so hot for The Phoenix right now either. Apparently they almost closed down during COVID, and it looked like they were going to close down at the beginning of this year too when their lease ran out, but they managed to extend the lease for another year while they look for a new location.

If/when they do end up shutting down, that will be the end of an era. :( I should really try to get down there for one last concert some time before that happens. I'm kinda tempted to go see Mel C, who is playing there in September. :P
