Weird. I actually added this Mac Miller Tiny Desk Concert to my TD/Live/Acoustics Favorites playlist when it was first posted by NPR yesterday, but I hesitated to submit it to ~music because I didn't know if anyone here would appreciate it. I am actually glad I didn't though, since the original video got taken down due to "a copyright claim by NPR" ... uh, what? Why would they copyright strike their own video and then resubmit it again a day later?
p.s. Thanks for posting this and letting me know I needed to repair a hole in my playlist, Burek. I am also glad to see some other people appreciated this concert since it's a really good one, IMO. And I say that as someone who had no idea who Mac Miller was before this, too.
Honestly it's not that surprising. Team A is in charge of making Tinydesk, Team B is in another building on another floor and in charge of taking down illegally posted NPR material - and they...

YT's bots have been particularly aggressive of late as well... I've had multiple videos of the Dead taken down for incorrect claims. Interestingly, whatever identification algorithm they use is generally good enough to get the date correct to within +/- 2 months which, all things considered, would be a difficult task for your average deadhead to do given a random snippet of song. That said, they could train it to read the text-description, in which I very clearly identify the original tape / date of the show .
Annoyingly, they have even started going after shows that have been online for 5+ years with no incident. Apparently Warner Chappell owns the rights to literally every version of the song Uncle Pen ever played, so don't you dare post a version on YT, have it viewed by ~200K people, and then leave it up for 5 years, you dirty fucker! :P
Definitely check him out. He's one of those quality rappers that actually play few instruments and such. I'd also recommend Anderson Paak on tiny desk too!

Yeah, Mac is great and no problem, will add tiny desk tag!
Thanks!
Listening to it and it's great. Tiny Desks are always so good. Doesn't matter who it is.
The band backing him is so crisp.

That's the kind of thing that happens when you have bots policing your content and aren't paying attention to false positives.
If that's the case then, wow, it's so goddamn dumb that a content producers own content on their own channel isn't excluded from YouTube's content ID.

Yeah, I will definitely be checking Mac Miller out more now. And I am already a huge .Paak fan, so no worries there. ;)
