This week's album and EP releases
Here's a list of a lot of things that came out in this past week, including many which are set to release on Friday. Of course, there's no way to be completely comprehensive with this and I avoided including things where information was too lacking, so feel free to mention anything that isn't on here that you think is worth mentioning. Beyond that, if you have any thoughts of any of these albums, it would be great to hear them :)
(oh and don't bully me for the genre tags, a lot of these things have very limited resources available and I couldn't individually listen to everything and determine what fits best, so I'm pulling from third parties and an artist's past work a lot of the time)

A bit of a stripped down highlights version :
Completely forgot PUP was dropping today and damn, I was a fan of their singles in the past, but everything else was iffy for me. This new album is actually great though, I think they finally found what works for them.
Hmmm... nothing really jumps out at me this week. @Whom (or anyone else), do you have any recommendations for something good to listen to in this list? And by "good" I basically mean ABC (Anything But Country). ;)
p.s I have never actually listened to Sara Bareilles' own music, but her coversongs are some of my favs (e.g. Single Ladies)... So maybe I should check her new album out.
Similarly, I don't really like Lissie's music... but her cover of Kid Cudi's Pursuit of Happiness is easily in my top 10 covers of all time. And I do like the live version of Off My Chest.
The person I do these with also cuts it down to the highlights so I think I'll post a slightly modified version of that, probably coming tomorrow though. I did listen to a tiny bit of Cherry Pickles Will Harden Your Nipples and that made it onto my planned listens list. Same with Holy Hell and Blessed is the Boogie.
Reserved expectations but high hopes for the new Marina and the Diamonds album, as well.
Cool, thanks... I will check them out and I look forward to the highlight topic.
p.s. Links for the lazy.
Cherry Pickles - Cherry Pickles Will Harden Your Nipples
Foie Gras - Holy Hell
Datura4 - Blessed is the Boogie
MARINA - LOVE
Is the IZONE's release supposed to be slanted, or are there supposed to be asterisks in the title?
...fixed!
... I have heard of none of these bands (actually, I think I've heard of BlackPink, but I have no interest in K-Pop)
I'm really out of touch.
Edit: I just looked up Eluveitie because the genre looks like something I might be into. Holy crap! I love their stuff!
