What have you been listening to this week?
What have you been listening to this week? You don't need to do a 6000 word review if you don't want to, but please write something! If you've just picked up some music, please update on that as well, we'd love to see your hauls :)
Feel free to give recs or discuss anything about each others' listening habits.

Today, I'm listening to the new Run the Jewels 4. I'm pretty blown away by it. It's the soundtrack to a revolution and I seriously hope to see them again live.
You see Killer Mike's speech on TV? It was incredibly powerful and incredible emotional too.
A lot of Coltrane (John) so far, today.
Also, some stuff that makes up my sci-fi reading playlist. RETURN by Grand Valley State University New Music Ensemble being one of those things. Strands by Steve Hauschildt being another.
Recently a lot of Brian Crain. Until I heard of him a few months ago, my knowledge of piano music was only the classical "hits" and covers of pop songs.
Do you mean music you listen to while reading?
Yes, indeed!
If you're getting into piano music, check out Chopin's preludes and Glass' Metamorphosis.
Oh god husband dude finally figured out the title of an indie song from 2003 I had stuck in my head and I can only advice everyone to have a listen - its awesome, its some old school Gothenburgian Indie pop without vocals. And the video is a bit... odd.

John Williams apparently conducted a series of concerts in Vienna with the Vienna Philharmonic, playing some of his most famous pieces. The album will be released in August but they released a single recently: Theme (From "Jurassic Park")
And in May they published a video of the orchestra performing the imperial march.
The Vienna Philharmonic is among the best orchestras in the world, and maybe the most famous. I think John Williams' music has never sounded better!
