Just finished my first listen but this is one of her better albums to me already. It doesn't seem like there are any attempts at having a hit single on this, it feels more like a raw album of creative output. Also nice to hear her getting out of a zone of manufacturedness that the last two albums kind of sat in with their overproduction and/or lyrical messages, and getting much more to the point with the lyrics and sentiments—I never thought I'd hear Taylor Swift sing "fuck you forever".
I have to agree with you on the Taylor Swift album. And wow, thanks for the link! I would never have stumbled upon this album if it weren't for this comment in a pretty obscure context, heh.

Yep.
My initial feelings are that it's a return to some of her older music styles while still showing off her musical and personal growth.
It's not terrible but it certainly makes me snooze. Made me think of another Folklore album though.

It's the only country band I tolerate, I love the opening track, it's so good (not sure what instrument are making these bowy sounds).
Announced just 16 hours before release Taylor has released her 8th album, Folklore, including a collaboration with Bon Iver.
Many of the songs were also produced by The National's Aaron Dessner!
