This is the third rap battle they've done concerning the US's elections for president.
Personally I think:
The music is pretty fitting, it generally adds to the feeling that this is gonna be a very tense election and is a tense political climate.
Joe Biden does not look like Joe Biden. They tried, but it takes a few rewatchs to get used to it.
The fly in Biden's head when he talks about Pence is based.
Trump interrupts his own introduction, which is based.
"Who won? Who's next? You LITERALLY DECIDE!" ...Unless you're not an American in a swing state or just whoever runs the ballots or ballot registration process. Otherwise, I like the nod towards democracy. (And given this is a rap battle channel yes, I know they're obviously not gonna be pedantic, of all things. )
The lack of a Lincoln verse in this round is honestly how I prefer it now. I think this is ERB's way to either tell us they won't pretend they're equally bad or that's another way in which they want to reflect the US's political climate.
They either didn't have time or didn't choose to mention RBG or the courts at all, which IMO sucks.
That probably also applies to how Biden doesn't really make any mentions of authoritarianism other than Trump and ballots and it's mostly Trump boasting about it.
The 2 Russians seems to be a reference to election interference, which is based.
Having one line where Biden stutters is pretty based.
Trump and Biden's performances (IMO) seem to be pretty similar to their predecessors, with the Democratic candidate is generally winning (although their 2016 rap battle was IMO a draw or small Trump win), but the Republican has stronger disses and hotter takes.
As for the actual verses, IMO this battle's verses feel more serious (200,000 deaths lying at your door! And you think they're suckers like McCain and the Marine corps!) or pointed. ("Eh! They impeached me! I still walked out of DC lookin' peachy!)
I love a lot of their raps, very few I am not fond of, but this is quite possibly one of their most directed and pointed verse-filled raps to date. They took it incredibly serious, and nearly...

For a comedic group, this was both hilarious and very serious. They toed the line directly and with great care. I listened several times, and every time I noticed another good quip that served two or three different meanings.
I would have liked a quick cameo from him though. He could have just showed up in the background for a second, maybe swooped across the screen carried by his eagle. Trump had a line about Roe v....

Trump had a line about Roe v. Wade, which is a roundabout way of mentioning RGB and the Supreme Court.

All in all, very recommended.
