I have been cleaning the house a lot this week and for some reason my default cleaning music has become Celtic Punk.

So lots of Dropkick Murphys, The Real McKenzies, Floggying Molly, The Dreadnoughts, The Pogues and The Tossers. Lots and lots of Dropkick.

If 16 year old me knew my favorite rebellious punk music was now my favorite cleaning the house as an adult music I think he would be very disappointed.

The last Anna von Hausswolff, it's mainly drony, ambient organ pieces. The compositions are a bit bare but the sound and textures are awesome : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6Li7yxq0i4

Picked up an oldWillie Nelson album today. Mainly to hear Kimmie Rhodes sing with him on a couple of songs. She's sort of an acquired taste, but then everyone I listen to is an acquired taste.

Been listening to a lot of Cindy Lee - What's Tonight To Eternity lately. I'm part of a music forum that runs its own 'best of' end of year list voted on by all the users (a bunch of music nerds) so there is always something I've never heard of popping up on people's lists. Cindy Lee was one of those finds. I'm familiar with the band Women, and Preoccupations, but didn't know that Cindy Lee was also related to Women as well. Anyone unfamiliar with any of these bands should check them all out if they like Noise Pop/Post-Punk.

I only discovered this album at the end of November and it ended up as my #1 pick for the year.

Another album I've been playing a lot this week is The Creatures - Feast. I've been a fan of Siouxsie & The Banshees for a while now, but I never explored any of Siouxsie Sioux' other projects until last week. This shit is awesome. Highly recommended to anyone who likes ethereal/textured/rhythmic/experimental music.

Lookin a lil like this. Mason Lindahl is a new find, and I really enjoyed that album I listened to. Particularly, the guitar work.
