Haven't listened yet (paused to type this up), but I am so excited that Serj and System are popping up again after all these years. I know it's largely because of what's going on in Armenia, and that's an unfortunate reason for them to be back, but I am glad to have SOAD popping up again.

Definitely one of my absolute favorite bands of all time. I distinctly remember buying each and every one of their albums in my teens. I remember hearing Chop Suey, Science, and Toxicity across a few different video games and thinking "oh man I love this band, what albums do I need to buy to hear those?" and then it was all on Toxicity and man that was a great day.

Anyway, going to give it a listen and share thoughts here afterwards :)

    edit:

    Thoughts:

    • The similar experiences between Marc's Jewish heritage and Serj's Armenian heritage is really interesting.
    • I'd never even heard of the Velvet Revolution before this somehow. Excited to see the movie about it.
    • The Atlantic records story is fascinating and just boosts my already high regard for Serj.
    • I don't know how I survived Trump's 4 years without a System album.
