In the weirdest coincidence I’ve been a part of in a good long while, iOS’s Screen Time on my phone triggered literally the instant he put in the rm -rf * command, but because the video was fullscreened it didn’t give me the “time’s up” prompt and just paused the video. I tried unpausing it multiple times to finish out the remaining 9 seconds of the song not realizing it was being blocked, all the while thinking the video was pulling off some meta-trickery as part of the joke.
Also, I have zero experience with git and I still loved this. Fantastic concept with fantastic execution.

The synth pads branch is an easter egg about the left-pad incident. "legacy code bass", crash cymbal loop, tech lead guitar. The guy is full of puns. And those amazing lyrics, for real.
