Texas secessionsts win GOP backing for independence vote: 'Major step' (Newsweek)
Already posted in ~news, so I'm linking to the topic rather than directly to the article.
I have not yet found a good summary article of the legal shenanigans occurring in the "Young Thug" trial, involving ex-parte hearings, a lawyer being found in contempt probably unlawfully, allegations of blackmailing witnesses, possible murder confessions, and the Georgia Supreme Court stepping in to handle not only the immediate release of the lawyer but preemptively granting cert for the appeal. All of this bad behavior is on the judge and prosecution's parts as well, which is not generally what folks expect from this sort of trial
But I'm looking for one if anyone else finds one. I've mostly been reading a lot of #lawsky and watching TikToks from lawyers since it's been ongoing.

Those rules seem like they'd be very big challenges for any candidate who might be having difficulties with memory or staying on topic. No reference materials? No talking to staffers? No being able to talk over your opponent? They seem like baseline requirements, but at the same time I expect that someone will find them challenging.
