Moreover, in a near consensus, dozens of Wikipedia editors involved in the discussion said they believe the ADL should not be cited for factual information on antisemitism as well because it acts primarily as a pro-Israel organization and tends to label legitimate criticism of Israel as antisemitism.
In a written statement, the ADL said the decision by Wikipedia was the result of a ”campaign to delegitimize the ADL"
“This is a sad development for research and education, but ADL will not be daunted in our age-old fight against antisemitism and all forms of hate,” the statement said.
Wikipedia critizes the ADL for labelling legitimate critisism of Israel as anti-semite, the ADL then proceeds to call them anti-semite, thus proving the point.
On a more serious note, I think this is a concerning development. I think a major reason for anti-semitism is that jews get conflated to zionists/pro-israeli government when that is not the case and these organizations claiming they're helping the cause of fighting anti-semitism are only worsening that perception by proving the point. Meh. That sure just looks like a statement that the ADL will continue their operations as they see fit, despite criticism.
That’s not a reason for anti-semitism. That is anti-semitism.

This is the example article the WJC used in their report: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_genocide_accusation
