Okay, now I'm angry(ier). This is the beginning of the New York Times and other outlets' apologia tour for their gross dereliction of duty in 2016. It was well-known that Donald Trump was a cheat, a fraud, and a criminal - the work was already done for them, and they buried it in a torrent of Hillary-hate.

I hope they manage to manufacture consent for Trump's impeachment, since he's becoming a danger to every American's interest, but I'm not holding my breath in the age of false equivalences maintained solely for ad views.

In just the last two weeks, they have played "both sides" because one random person on the left used a bad word to describe Trump, and gave wall to wall coverage to Trump where he could spew whatever bullshit he wanted.

These two things are by far the biggest mistakes the media made in 2016, and they are still being repeated now.

Makes sense when the media is more interested in covering their bills and then some than it is covering the truth. I don't really think they are ever going to self-correct.

Yet Fox News fawned over him, and the Republicans loved him enough to get out and vote him in.

He never released his tax returns, which means he was not fully vetted.

A multi party system would not solve this problem, not would it solve the problems of low participation where it counts: local elections and primaries.

It might solve this problem - Republicans have linked socially conservative and fiscally insane policies, and if you're against a woman's right to have a safe abortion then they're your only choice. People don't vote because they don't think it matters, I learned from doing canvassing, and a multi-party system with some version of ranked choice voting addresses this issue too.

"Teacher, what is the most important commandment in the Law?”

        Jesus answered:

"Don't kill unborn babies. This is the first and most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like this one. And it is this. Forget the poor. Give tax cuts to the rich. They earned it. Plus you might be rich one day, me willing.
