I’m surprised she lasted as long as she did. She made a name for herself as the bulldog during the Kavanaugh hearing (debatable how that polls generally), but she didn’t have a clear platform going into the debates.
While she’s strong at debating (likely due to her years as a DA), she wasn’t good at feeling down to earth either. This was certainly exacerbated by one of her aide’s abrupt departure, quoted as saying 'I have never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly'. Perhaps her strengths are partly her weakness as well.
She hasn’t been polling well, and her finances caused cuts to her staff. It was a matter of time. I’m just happy the playing field is getting smaller (sans Bloomberg’s “surprise” entrance).

And yet at the same time, I wouldn't have predicted her dropping out before Iowa six months ago.
